Youth Ministry
"Let no man despise thy youth, but be thou an example of the believers." ~ 1 Tim 4:12
Our elementary-age children and teens are served through the FBC youth ministry. Our purpose is to evangelize our youth, to disciple them for spiritual growth, to teach them God's truth, to train them to serve Jesus Christ, and provide multiple opportunities to participate through the local church.
Sunday School
"Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you: and, lo, I am with you always, even unto the end of the world. Amen." ~ Matthew 28:20
Sunday School at FBC provides a structure for teaching God's Word while also gearing Bible teaching to specific age groups.
Discipleship is "Teaching them to observe all things whatsoever I have commanded you." (Matthew 28:20) As the main discipleship arm of First Baptist Church, our Sunday School classes don't simply teach facts, but also obedience to God's Word!
Join us each Sunday at 9:45am as we study Scripture and fellowship together before the main worship service at 10:45 am.
Music Ministry
At First Baptist Church we believe in the power of music as a way to worship Christ and bring glory to God. We join together in congregational singing every Sunday and Wednesday. We also prioritize having special music from members of the church every week.
Missions
"Go ye therefore, and teach all nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Ghost:" ~ Matthew 28:19
The purpose of world missions is to spread the good news that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners - to people groups where there is no indigenous, evangelizing church - with the hope of establishing an indigenous, autonomous church that will in turn reproduce itself.
At First Baptist Church we still believe the Great Commission of Matthew 28:19 is not only relevant today, but it is still our top priority.
